Digipaks and Posters

Posters

These music posters advertise the artists album release dates, sometimes tour dates are also advertised on these posters. Usually included in album release posters are, band logos, the bands name, the bands website, tour dates, an image which relates to the album artwork, and of course the actual date of release.
For our poster we took influence by incorporating what is usually seen on a typical music poster and including it in our own. We wanted to make sure it would be suitable for the magazine it would be appearing in, and would appeal to the target (teenage) audience.


Digipaks

Here are some examples of digipaks used for CD covers. We have researched these to get a better idea of what we can do for our CD cover, and plan on taking inspiration from the ones above.

A digipak is basically a book-style CD case which enables extra information to be provided with the CD, and a more creative form of packaging. Usual traits seen in digipaks are: the bands name, pictures of the band, a song list, and sometimes lyrics or a thankyou message from the band, and credits.
